In the 1890s, this was home to the Fabricius family, who rented an apartment with their three children. One of them was Sara, who later became a writer under the pseudonym Cora Sandel. Over the years, the museum developed a close relationship with Sara Fabricius’ son, Erik Jönsson. When he passed away in 2016, he generously donated a large collection of objects, photographs, sketches and documents to Perspektivet Museum.

Fabricious was a painter as well as a writer, and Jönsson gifted his 25 paintings and two sketches by his mother to the municipality of Tromsø.
