We are celebrating the Cultural Heritage Days 2026 with an open house and free admission to the exhibitions. A great opportunity to visit our anniversary exhibition Time Travel Troms\u00f8!

In the exhibition Time Travel Troms\u00f8, we have delved into the photo collection to find out what makes Troms\u00f8 the city it is today. The answer lies as much in large infrastructure projects like the Troms\u00f8 bridge and the establishment of UiT as in everyday life, music experiences at the youth house Tvibit and skiing in Tromsdalen. We have also found room for some glimpses from Perspektivet Museum’s own history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Curator Mari Hildung will be present at the exhibition for a pleasant chat about the historical images. We offer a cup of coffee!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The World Heritage Days will be celebrated from 5 to 13 September 2026 with the theme \u201cCultural Heritage in Danger\u201d. How do we preserve our common cultural heritage \u2013 in a time when everything is changing? In a world characterized by the climate crisis, war, digital transformation and increased mobility, more and more cultural monuments and traditions are under threat. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not only the physical traces \u2013 such as buildings, cultural landscapes and crafts \u2013 but also the intangible heritage: language, knowledge, stories and practices that bind societies together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
