Visit our two exhibitions on the author and painter Cora Sandel\/Sara Fabricius (1880\u20131974). She is best known for her novels about Alberta, a young woman from a small northern town, with a life-story not unlike the author\u2019s own. You\u2019ll encounter historical objects, visual art, literature, and comics. Listen to excerpts from the artist\u2019s letters or explore her collection of photographs and archive materials whilst surrounded by her own paintings, objects and books.<\/p>\n\n\n

On the ground floor we show the exhibition New Standards – With photographs by Juuso Westerlund. In 1940, the enterprise Puutalo was established to help during Finland\u2019s enormous refugee crisis, as 420 000 people needed rehousing due to the Winter War. Through text and archival materials, the exhibition tells the story of Puutalo\u2019s housing production, while new photographs by Juuso Westerlund show glimpses of people\u2019s lives in Puutalo homes in Colombia, Denmark and Finland.<\/p>\n\n\n
