Re-opening – with a brand new exhibition!

After a long spring closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are excited to meet visitors again when we reopen on June 16th.  At our premises in Storgata 95, we have a brand new and relevant exhibition, Born Free by Dutch photographer Ilvy Njiokiktjien. To cater for as many cabin-fevered visitors as possible, we will be open late every Thursday until 8 pm throughout the summer. The outdoor museum, Folkeparken friluftsmuseum, will be open every Sunday from June 21st to August 23rd.   Here you’ll find open buildings, exhibitions, drop-in guided tours, a kiosk serving ice cream, sodas and coffee, and activities such as a cultural path and a graffiti-workshop – all organized in accordance with health authority guidelines, of course.

We’re adhering to governmental rules to prevent the spread of the corona virus and have prepared all our facilities for safe visits, meaning we will be doing more frequent cleaning, disinfecting touch-surfaces, and keeping an eye on the number of visitors at any given time.

Welcome back to Perspektivet!
